Starring:Rob Schneider, David Spade, Jon Heder, Jon Lovitz, Craig Kilborn
Directed by:Dennis Dugan
Produced by:Todd Garner, Derek Dauchy, Jack Giarraputo

Rob Schneider, David Spade and Jon Heder equally head up the cast in this misfit comedy
about those who always felt like the outcast, underdogs and benchwarmers during sports
season during High School.  Jon Heder emulates his exact character that he plays in
Nepoleon Dynamite and after some warming up to his character, he does quite a good job.
Accompanined with the treo is Jon Levitz whos plays the Billionaire with the nerd kid, who
decides to create a tournament to see who the best baseball team in area is.  The comedic
treo play a full baseball team themselves, representing the "benchwarmers" hoping to show
that the underdogs deserve a chance.  They instantly become a family name among the
nerds and prove to be the psudo roll models the kids have been looking for.

Being a avid baseball player growing up in Los Angeles and playing on the Varsity team in
High School, this brought me back to so many memories of just having such a great time on
the field.  "Benchwarmers" was downright hysterical and never lets up.  The humor is
incredibly gross and incredibly disgusting and in many aspects probably not the best movie
for your kids to see.  This movie does prove to have a somewhat predictable and formulaic
ending with a great representation of forgiveness, teamwork, and respect.

Honestly, most people do not like David Spade or Rob Schneider.  Their humor appeals to
very few people but this movie might just show that they can infact act and provide some
pretty good laughs.  I liked the fact that this is the first time I have ever seen Rob Schneider
not play a complete idiot.  His character actually is one of dignity, repect and morals.  Wow,
did I actually use those three words associated with Rob, I guess so.  I actually think that Rob
Schneider could do a pretty decent role in a NON comedy, if he gave it half a chance.  One
of the interesting aspects of the production and something that I admire, is, the loyalty of the
producer of this movie.  The production company is called Happy Maddison and is brought
to us by none other than Adam Sandler.  He always includes his best real life friends, Rob
Schneider, David Spade, Jon Lovitz and Craig Kilborn (Yes of the Late Nite tv show) in all of
his movies.  It is almost like Sandler cares about his friends so much that he makes movies
just so they can stay employed, because none of the actors ever appear in any other movies
than Sandlers productions.

I have to say that as an adult I really liked this movie.  It was aimed toward kids but the
disgusting jokes, sexual jokes, constant references to homosexuality, ball kicks and so forth,
I would have to say that parents should use a huge amount of caustion before letting their
kids see this movie.  I personally cannot recommend the movie from a clean and wholesome
aspect the in the end, the movie does prove to have a VERY good message.

Warning to Parents:  Lots of sexual jokes, lots of disrespectful kids with the worst trash
mouths, and lots of references to the male annatomy.
