| Jason Statham stars as the notorious mob hitman who finally gets caught by the opposing group of sinister characters. He is has been bonked over the head with a Dodger hopeful and given a drug called the “Beijing Cocktail”. This drug slows his heart down to a lethal pace and is supposed to kill him in 1 hour. However the only thing that can speed his heart rate up to a livable scale is adrenaline. He has to keep active to keep himself alive. He decides to go after the mob that put the hit out on him, and kill the man who actually committed the act. This is a fast pace movie however at times can appear slow. We do not have the same karate, shooting and killing that we are used to in most of Statham’s movie, mostly because he just does not have the energy for it in this picture. However do not be too sad, there is still enough killing to keep you engaged and enough blood to give this movie the R rating it deserves. Personally if I watch an action movie, I want the shooting and blowing up scenes and I even want a little bit of blood. I know, I am a Christian and some think that a Christian should not like action. Sorry folks, I LOVE action movies. Yes ladies, I enjoy a great romance as well. On an completely negative note: The filth in the movie was so out of control that it actually took away from the integrity of the movie. There were about 5 different flesh shots that they kept tossing in for no apparent reason and then there was one public sex scene in an attempt to get the viewer to laugh. Had I known that these scenes were in the movie, I would NOT have seen the movie. That is one of the reasons why its hard to be a critic and see a movie that is NOT screened for the press before it comes out. Usually there is buzz about what is in the movie. I would have to say that this was a decent action movie however it just had way too much immoral content and highly offensive filth.. I cannot recommend this movie at all and I give it 2.5 stars. Warning: Some nudity, sex and harsh language. This is one that people should stay away from because of the content in the movie. I wish I would have and I am sorry I saw the movie. |
